Personal Training in Sammamish: What to Expect and How to Get Started

If you have been thinking about getting stronger but you are not sure where to start, you are not alone. Most people who walk into our Sammamish gym have tried a few things on their own. A program off the internet, a stretch of early mornings on the treadmill, maybe a gym membership that quietly turned into a monthly donation. The workouts were not the problem. The missing piece was someone in your corner who could tell you what to do, watch your form, and adjust as you go.

That is what personal training at Sasquatch Strength & Nutrition is built to do. Here is what it actually looks like.

What personal training at Sasquatch really means

When people hear personal training, they picture a trainer counting reps while they figure the rest out alone. Ours works differently. You get a real program built around progressive overload, coaches who correct your form and push you when you have another rep in you, and nutrition guidance so the work you put in actually shows up.

You show up, you follow the program, and you do not have to think about what today’s session should be. We handle that part. You track your own numbers so you can see yourself getting stronger week over week, and your coach guides every step.

Every workout falls into one of five types: Build for heavy compound lifts, Grind for muscular endurance, Skill for movement quality, Sprint for power and explosiveness, and Move for cardio and functional strength. You can read more about how the five workout types fit together if you want the full breakdown.

What to expect in your first few weeks

Your first weeks are about learning the movements and setting a baseline. We are not going to bury you under a mountain of weight on day one. Your coach teaches you the lifts, gets your form dialed in, and finds the right starting loads for you.

You will also get an InBody scan, which measures your body composition so you know your starting muscle and fat numbers instead of guessing from the bathroom scale. Scans are unlimited with your membership, so you can track real change over time. If you want to understand what those numbers mean, we broke it down in our guide to reading your InBody scan.

From there it is consistency. You do not need to live in the gym. Three sessions a week is enough to see real results when the program is built right and you keep showing up. We wrote more about why three days a week works if that sounds too good to be true.

Why coaching beats going it alone

You can absolutely find a workout online for free. The reason most people still stall is that a PDF cannot see your setup, cannot tell when your form breaks down, and cannot decide when it is time to add weight. A coach can. That feedback loop is the difference between spinning your wheels and steady progress.

It also takes the mental load off. No more deciding what to do, second-guessing whether you are doing enough, or wondering if you are working the right things. You follow the plan, we adjust it, and you get to spend your energy on the actual training.

Getting started in Sammamish

Our Sammamish gym is one of two Sasquatch locations, along with Redmond, so if you are coming from Bellevue or Issaquah you are a short drive from either one. Prefer to train from home or travel a lot? We also coach members remotely anywhere in the US.

Membership tiers range from our 52-Week and 24-Week plans, which include weekly coaching, nutrition, and supplements, to our 12-Week plan with bi-weekly coaching and nutrition, and our Ready tier for people who want the training without nutrition coaching. Your coach helps you pick the fit that matches your goals.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be in shape before I start?
No. Most people start exactly where you are. Your coach meets you at your current level and builds from there. The whole point is that we teach you the movements and progress you safely.

How many days a week do I need to train?
Three sessions a week is enough to see real, measurable results. The program is designed so you get strong without your whole life revolving around the gym.

Is nutrition included?
It depends on your membership tier. The 52-Week, 24-Week, and 12-Week plans include nutrition coaching. The Ready tier is training only. Your coach will help you choose.

What is an InBody scan and how often can I get one?
It is a quick body composition scan that shows your muscle and fat breakdown. Scans are unlimited with your membership, so you can track your progress as often as you like.

Can I train if I do not live near Sammamish?
Yes. Along with our Sammamish and Redmond gyms, we offer remote coaching anywhere in the US, so you can follow the same programming from wherever you are.
