Sasquatch vs F45: Which One Actually Builds Strength?
If you have been shopping around for a place to get in shape near Redmond or Sammamish, you have probably come across F45. It is popular, it is high energy, and the workouts fly by. So how does it stack up against coaching at Sasquatch Strength & Nutrition? Here is an honest look, no trash talk, just the real differences so you can pick what fits you.
What F45 does well
F45 runs 45 minute group classes built around circuits. You rotate through stations, the music is loud, and a screen shows you the next move. It is fun, it gets your heart rate up, and the community energy keeps a lot of people coming back.
If you want to sweat, follow along, and burn some calories in a set time slot, F45 delivers that. There is nothing wrong with that model. For some people it is exactly the nudge they need to move more.
Where the two are different
The biggest difference is what happens to your strength over time. F45 mostly keeps you in a circuit format with lighter weights and lots of reps. That is great for conditioning, but it is not built around progressive overload, which is the thing that actually makes you stronger month after month.
At Sasquatch, coaching is built around real strength progression. We use five workout types so your training is balanced instead of the same circuit on repeat. Build is heavy compound lifting with progressive overload. Grind is muscular endurance. Skill is technique and movement quality. Sprint is power and explosiveness. Move is cardio and functional strength. You can read more in our guide to the five workout types.
The other difference is the coaching relationship. In a big circuit class, the trainer is running the room. At Sasquatch, your coach knows your numbers, corrects your form, and pushes you on the days you would rather coast. You track your own progress, and your coach guides it.
What about results?
If your only goal is to move more and feel a little better, most group formats will help. But if you want to build visible muscle, get measurably stronger, and change your body composition, you need progressive overload and a plan that adjusts as you improve. That is the gap coaching fills.
You also do not have to live in the gym to get there. Three focused sessions a week is enough to see real change when the program is built right. We break that down in is three days a week really enough.
Which one is right for you?
Pick F45 if you want a fast, follow along class and conditioning is your main goal. Pick Sasquatch if you want a coach in your corner, a real strength plan, nutrition guidance, and unlimited InBody scans to track your progress. Our gyms are in Redmond and Sammamish, a short drive from Bellevue and Issaquah, and we also coach remotely anywhere in the US.
Frequently asked questions
Is F45 or Sasquatch better for weight loss?
Both can help you lose weight, but lasting fat loss comes from building muscle and dialing in nutrition, not just burning calories in class. Sasquatch pairs strength coaching with nutrition so the results stick.
Do I need to be fit before I start at Sasquatch?
No. Coaches meet you where you are and scale everything to your level. You show up, follow the program, and let the coaches handle the thinking.
How often do I need to train to see results?
Three times a week is enough for most people to see real, measurable change when the program is built around progressive overload.
Does Sasquatch have group energy like F45?
You get community and accountability, plus something a class alone does not give you: a coach who knows your numbers and adjusts your plan as you get stronger.
