FAQ

FAQ

What should I wear to a Sasquatch workout?

You’ll be moving and sweating and stretching, so wear something comfy. Any kind of athletic shoes will work. You can wear shorts or leggings and a t-shirt or tank. Lots of people wear a sweatshirt and take it off once they start working out.

Do I need to bring anything to the workout?

No worries, you don’t have to bring anything. If you want to bring your own water bottle that’s cool, otherwise we have water fountains or bottled water available. Just make sure you’re wearing something comfy that you can work out in.

How early should I show up before the workout?

For your first class, come 15 minutes ahead of time so you can get settled and get a quick gym tour. For every other class just show up 5-10 minutes ahead of your class time.

I’m really out of shape, is there a beginner program?

Start wherever you are. We are really good at scaling all workouts to all skill levels. You’ll get a really great workout no matter what shape you’re in right now and we’ll work with you to make sure you get where you want to be. We have people from all skill and age levels in our gym. Just remember, everybody had to have their first day at some point.

What is a Sasquatch workout like?

Class is always an hour, is always in a group of about 10 and led by a coach. You don’t have to know what you are doing, you just show up ready to go and listen to your coach. We will warm up together, prep for the workout together and do the workout together. If you need any special attention or movement modifications, we will figure that out before the workout starts. At the end we cool down, chat and maybe grab a protein shake. We do a lot of strength training because it’s one of the fastest ways to get more lean muscle, less fat and lots of body confidence. We also do high intensity interval training and mix it up with gymnastics, cardio, bodyweight, barbells, kettlebells, and more.

Do you have personal training?

Yes! We have a phenomenal team of personal trainers. Whether you want to work on a particular skill, prefer one-on-one attention, or are training for something specific, we have someone we can match to your needs. A lot of folks do group classes with a little PT on the side to work on something specific.

Do you have a nutrition program?

You can’t out-train a bad diet. Our nutrition program is a great supplement to our classes to reach your goals the fastest, and it’s also available as a stand-alone program. With nutrition coaching you get:

  • Free consult before sign up
  • InBody scans monthly
  • Personal macros
  • Unlimited support and guidance
  • Easy to use app and online platform
  • Knowledge base full of nutrition education
  • A sustainable approach built for lasting change
How much are memberships?

We have a bunch of membership options to fit your budget, including group classes, personal training, nutrition, and more. The first step is to come in for a free consult so we can talk about exactly what you’re looking for.

Is Sasquatch Strength only strength training?

Not only, but we do a lot of strength training because it’s one of the fastest ways to get more lean muscle, less fat and lots of body confidence. We also mix it up with gymnastics, cardio, bodyweight, barbells, kettlebells, and more.

Do you have an open gym?

Nope, we have group classes and personal training.

Do you have Sasquatch swag, supplements, food, drinks?

Yep! We have a variety of bars, supplements, shakes and drinks to keep you going before, during and after your workout. We also carry special Sasquatch protein powder, BCAAs and a metabolism booster as well as Everwell Botanicals products.

Should I eat before I workout?

Everyone is different but a good rule of thumb is to eat 20 grams of protein and 20 grams of carbohydrates about an hour before your workout for the best energy. Don’t eat immediately before class, you don’t want that jostling around in your stomach.

Am I going to be sore after the workout?

Probably, yes. Depending on your current fitness level and how hard you go, you might be sore. That’s a good thing. Your muscles are getting stronger. The best thing you can do when you’re sore is drink water, eat some protein and then come back in and get moving again. Don’t let soreness stop you from working out. It’s a normal part of the process.

What if I’m injured, can I still do the workout?

We can scale any workout to any skill level or personal need, including injury, pregnancy, and disability. Come in for a consult, talk to your coach about your particular situation, and let them help you with a plan. If your ankle is hurt, you can still do upper body. If your arm is affected, you can still do legs. You can almost always work on stretching and mobility.

Are Sasquatch workouts safe?

Yes. Our workouts are not random. We program a year in advance with the purpose to get you safely and efficiently to a better fitness and wellness level. We focus on form and longevity, for real people with lives outside of the gym.

Is weight training going to make me look bulky?

No. Weight training gives you tone. Fat is usually what makes you feel or look bulky. Weight lifting also raises your metabolism so you burn more calories just sitting around.

What equipment do you use?

We have a full pull-up rig, rings, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, slam balls, bands and more. We teach you how to do all the movements and how to safely and effectively use all the equipment.

Do you have an InBody scanner?

We do. You get one free InBody scan per month with your membership or nutrition plan, or you can buy them separately.

Do you have showers?

Yes! Towel service, showers, and private changing areas.

Can I bring a friend to my consult?

Absolutely! Please just let us know in advance so we can prepare. If they’re thinking about joining too, let’s get them on the InBody and have a conversation with both of you. It’s one of the best things you can do.

What are the Sasquatch gym rules?

Work hard and be nice to people. Treat everyone with respect, be nice and workout. Sign up for classes ahead of time and cancel with enough notice to let others take your spot. Otherwise, show up, do your best and talk to us so we can help you get what you want.

Will Sasquatch workouts help me lose weight or build muscle?

The workouts can help you lean out, build muscle, lose weight, feel better, look better and a lot more. In general, if you come in 3-5 times a week and work, you will see results. If you want results faster, you need to dial in your nutrition, and we have a program for that too.

Can I pay with my HSA/FSA?

Yes! We’ve partnered with Truemed to allow you to use your Health Savings Account or Flexible Savings Account to reimburse any Sasquatch membership, if eligible. That means pre-tax dollars and a net savings of around 30% on average. Prequalify here.

Can I do a free trial class?

Our process is to come in for a free consult first, and then if you still want a free trial class, we’ll get you set up. The consult gives us a chance to actually understand where you are, what you’ve tried, and what would work for you. It also includes an InBody scan so you can see your actual numbers. Most people find the consult way more valuable than a trial class. But if you want to try a class after that, we’ve got you.

What if I travel a lot?

You’ll fit right in. You’ll have access to workouts you can do at home, in a hotel gym, or outside. You can meet with your coach virtually. This is built to move with you.

What if I have a vacation coming up?

Good. That’s real life. It’s better to go into your vacation with some structure, accountability, and momentum. You’ll still have access to your workouts and your coach while you’re gone. When you’re back, we pick up right where we left off.

What happens if I don’t see results?

That’s pretty rare. We have a 97% success rate because we actually check in with you, coach you, and adjust your plan as you go. And we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you’re truly not seeing progress and it’s not the right fit, you’re not stuck.

What results can I expect?

It really depends on your goals, your starting point, whether you’re doing nutrition coaching, and how committed you are. We have a 97% success rate in helping people get the results they came for. Book a consult and we’ll talk through it one-on-one.

How many times a week can I work out?

You get access to every session at all of our Eastside locations. What we do know is that you need at least 3 days to see results. Beyond that, you train when it fits.

What are the class schedules?

Class times are different at every gym, but most start as early as 5 or 6 AM and go through to about 7 PM. Each gym runs the same program on the same day, so you can switch between locations without falling behind. Visit the locations page and click the location you want to see the schedule.

What if I need more time to think about it?

How long have you been thinking about it? After age 35, muscle mass starts dropping off year over year if you’re not training. Energy dips. Motivation fades. This stuff compounds. If you’re unsure, book a consult and talk it out. Zero pressure, we can help you get clear.

What if I need to talk to my spouse or partner first?

Of course, that’s totally reasonable. Your partner probably wants you to feel better, have more energy, and be more confident. Try making the decision first and then asking for their support. We have a 30-day guarantee. Low risk. Best case, they do it with you.

Do I really need nutrition help?

Probably. You can’t out-train a bad diet. Food drives 80% of your results. That’s why we work on it with you, not with a generic plan, but with weekly coaching, behavior changes, and real support that meets you where you are.

What if I feel like the price is too high?

If you knew it would actually work, would it be worth it? You can use HSA/FSA through TrueMed, pay in full, do a payment plan, or start with a deposit. And there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee.

What if I have an injury or medical conditions?

That’s exactly the kind of thing we’re built to work around. We’ve coached people through chronic pain, post-surgery recovery, autoimmune conditions, hormonal shifts, and more. Your coach will help you modify movements and make sure you’re building strength safely.

I’m still not sure how to choose, what do I do?

Book a consult. We’ll talk it through and help you figure out which option fits best. Book here.
